To book a Planetarium show, please call Southend Central Museum on 01702 212345 between 11am and 5pm Wednesday - Sunday.  Please note, public Planetarium shows cannot be booked via email.  ​​​​​

Please note Southchurch Hall can be subject to short notice closures.  If you plan to visit on a specific day, to avoid disappointment please call ahead to Central Museum on 01702 212345 to check opening times.

Visitor Notice. All Southend Museums sites will be closed on the morning of the 17th of April 2026 for staff training.

 

Central Museum and the Beecroft Art Gallery will reopen at midday.

Prittlewell Priory and Southchurch Hall will reopen at 1pm
